Himanshu Patel, Chairman and MD of Triton EV, made outstanding news when he said that his business is getting ready to launch the 8.5-tonne EV Truck for the Middle East and Indian markets.“We want to have the vehicle ready for display by mid-November 2023, which will be a big help to the logistics industry because the 8.5-ton EV truck is being created in response to a pressing market need. This 8.5-ton truck can go 300 kilometres on a single full charge,” according to Triton EV's CMD, Himanshu Patel.
Electric trucks are renowned for their advantages to the environment because they have no exhaust emissions. Particularly in metropolitan settings, this can aid in lowering air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Medium-duty or heavy-duty trucks often fall within the 8.5-tonne weight range. They serve a variety of functions, such as local distribution, urban delivery, and even certain construction applications.
Triton EV has revealed their intentions to develop a 3.5-tonne capacity EV truck. Himanshu Patel, the MD of Triton EV, continued, "Due to its strong performance characteristics, this product is anticipated to make a significant effect on the commercial vehicle industry. The 8.5 Tonnn electric truck's maintenance and mileage will fundamentally alter the market.
In Kheda, Anand District, close to Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Triton EV has developed its complete Research and Development (R & D) Centre facility. The building has a square footage of 1 lakh, 50,000. This R&D facility has evolved into the hub for all of Triton EV's R&D initiatives, including the creation of Triton EV trucks and special-purpose vehicles.
