Tata Power unveils EZ charge card for EV users

An enhanced radio-frequency identification card (RFID) for owners of

electric vehicles

, the EZ Charge card was unveiled on Monday by Tata Power, a provider of EV charging solutions.


The integrated chip in the EZ Charge card enables safe and easy charging session initiation while assuring speedy and effective payment processing. By just tapping the EZ Charge RFID card on the EZ charger of Tata Power, EV customers may initiate the charging process based on their pre-set recharge value. The company claims that after the automobile is fully charged, users may begin their travels in comfort.


By enabling users to share access without jeopardising private or sensitive app data, the EZ Charge card provides additional advantages.

"The EZ Charge card of Tata Power is a new frontier integrating RFID technology with our Charge Point network to provide EV owners a quick, easy and convenient charging solution," Praveer Sinha, MD % CEO of Tata Power stated. We keep working together with Tata Motors to promote EV adoption and provide sustainable transportation for all Indians.


Tata Power is dedicated to enhancing the EV ecosystem in India with its extensive EV charging infrastructure that spans over 350 cities and its presence in 550 cities. More than 40,000 home chargers, 4,000+ public and semi-public charging stations, and 250 bus charging stations make up their current infrastructure. Tata Power intends to install 25,000 charging stations during the next five years as part of its ambitious ambitions.
