Tata Nexon.ev receives 5-stars in safety test performed by Bharat NCAP
Bharat NCAP has given the Tata Nexon.ev a 5-star safety rating. For adult occupant protection, the electric SUV received 29.86 points out of 32, while for kid occupant safety, it received 44.95 points out of 49.
The driver and passenger's head and neck were well-protected by the Nexon.ev in the frontal offset deformable barrier test. The passenger's chest displayed excellent protection, whereas the driver's chest only provided mediocre protection. With the exception of the driver's knees, which had sufficient protection, the lower body was well-protected.
The head, neck, and torso of the front occupants demonstrated good protection in the side moveable deformable barrier test, with the exception of the chest area, which demonstrated sufficient protection. In the side pole impact test, the vehicle provided decent protection.
The Nexon.ev received a dynamic child occupant protection score of 23.95 out of 24. It received a score of 9/13 for the vehicle evaluation and a 12/12 for CRS installation.
