Reaching the last mile to the last man standing: E-Luna-most affordable EV?
Kinetic Energy has shown signs of launching the electric counterpart of the Luna Moepad very soon. The business has claimed to be working on “something extraordinary” and “something iconic” which will be unveiled in the upcoming months, according to the company’s official announcement.
It is anticipated that the E-Luna will come under the Non-RTO categories of EV that will not require a license. The feature that is expected to be the most unique in the upcoming vehicle is its Non-lithium ion, lead-acid battery which will be available at the most affordable rate possible. The company’s traditional approach to delivering its services to the last man standing has raised the hopes of the customers.
In the first quarter of the ongoing year, the electric Luna will be available for purchase, citing Sulajja Firodia Motwani, the founder of Kinetic Green, the Financial Express reported last month. The update came as the CEO was speaking on the sidelines of the introduction of their newest electric two-wheeler, Zen.
Kinetic Green's CEO and founder, Motwani, said, "It is coming in the first quarter." It already possesses all required official licences, including state and FAME approvals, and we are already conducting pilots in various locations. We are thrilled at the positive feedback we have received. Our goal is to recreate the enjoyment of owning Lun.
That's not all, though. Over the next five years, Kinetic has mapped out a product launch offensive. Given the high development trajectory in the markets where Kinetic Green is present—electric two- and three-wheelers, the fastest-growing sectors of the electric vehicle space—Motwani states, "We expect the next five years to be quite disruptive in terms of growth." It is anticipated to increase from 6% penetration to 30–40% penetration and have a total CAGR growth rate of 70–75%.
The creator of Kinetic Green disclosed that they are "working on a high-performance scooter which will come in a slightly larger wheel-base, a high-performance capacity vehicle more suited for big city riding with speed between 80-90 kilometres/hour" to take advantage of the potential presented by this. "Thus, it is our primary emphasis at the moment, and we are also developing our L5 passenger carrier," he further stated.
Selling "1 million electric vehicles in FY30 would yield approximately Rs 10,000 crores worth of topline and would mean about 90–100% CAGR per year, which we have been doing in reality," according to Kinetic Green's aim. Rapid incremental increase will occur, with two-wheelers accounting for around 60% of that growth, three-wheelers for about 30% to 35%, and golf carts for about 10%. Reiterating that they are "focusing on e-Luna and scooters, we're not looking at motorcycles," she was forceful.
