Indian market soon to experience launch of BYD seal
In Euro NCAP crash tests, the BYD Seal
electric vehicle
received a 5-star rating. In terms of adult occupant safety, the car scored 89%, and in terms of kid occupant protection, 87%.In the frontal crash test, the BYD Seal provided the driver with acceptable protection, the passenger with adequate protection for their legs and chest, and the passenger with good protection for their head. Tests for lateral impacts were also performed on the vehicle. In the side pole and side movable barrier tests, it demonstrated good protection.
In the frontal offset and side barrier tests, the Seal electric vehicle provided good protection to all important body parts of both child dummies.
The Auto Expo 2023 featured the BYD Seal. According to the most recent sources, the car is probably going to be released in India early in the following year.
There are two battery options available for the Seal: an 82.5 kWh battery that can reportedly travel 700 km on a single charge, and a 61.4 kWh battery with a range of 550 km.
