Gogoro partners with Swiggy: Recruits EV fleet for last-mile delivery

According to Gogoro's founder and CEO Horace Luke, the partnership between Swiggy and Gogoro would give users a simple route to adopting environmentally friendly electric vehicles and boosting their company productivity.

In order to effectively convert India's urban fleets to electric, he continued, "Working together with Swiggy, an important player in the industry, to offer access to Gogoro Smart scooters and battery swapping is essential."

"Our collaboration with Gogoro is an additional milestone in our commitment to creating greener and more affordable solutions for our delivery fleet," said Mihir Shah, Head of Operations at Swiggy. 

Shah said, "We look forward to working with them to transform hyperlocal deliveries so that they are more sustainable and efficient in India." Gogoro's battery swapping technology, he continued, "represents a new generation of electric refuelling that has proven successful on a mass scale for last-mile delivery." 

In 2021, Swiggy committed to using EV deliveries to go 8 lakh km daily. A
