Euler Motor invests Rs100 Cr, opens EV manufacturing facility in Haryana
Commercial electric vehicle Orignal Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Euler Motors on Tuesday officially inaugurated its manufacturing and R&D centre in Palwal, Haryana.
With an investment of Rs 100 Cr, the newly opened facility is reported to be set up to meet the rising demand in the Industry
In particular, to meet the growing demand for its three-wheelers, Euler Motors plans to utilise its 5 lakh square foot factory, which can produce 36,000 vehicles annually, as its national production base.
With its current footprint of 26 locations, Euler Motors wants to grow to 40 cities by FY25.
"The production of commercial three-wheeler EVs has advanced significantly with the opening of our new facility. This facility will enhance our production capacity and help us deliver locally manufactured vehicles that meet the evolving needs of our customers and the industry," Gaurav Kumar, the head of supply chain and manufacturing at Euler Motors said.
According to the firm, the new factory features an automated assembly line connected by a unique manufacturing execution system (MES) that tracks the lifetime of the vehicle from manufacture to delivery to drive production efficiency.
Moreover, the facility will open up job prospects in the area and will provide its personnel with the necessary skills through a dedicated learning and development centre. It also mentioned that out of the 500 individuals it already employs, 20% are women.
Kumar emphasized that the new update will help the company achieve its goal of 15% growth in the next fiscal year. Citing Kumar PTI reported, “This facility will help us respond to the increased customer demand and adapt to changes in processes and products with agility and flexibility”.
