Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 welcomes Maruti Wagon R Flex Fuel and eVX concept
Maruti unveiled the eVX concept at the current Bharat Mobility event in New Delhi, providing a preview of its first SUV, which is scheduled to launch in the Indian market in late 2024. There will be two releases as a result of this partnership; Toyota's version will come out the following year. Maruti's Waggon Flex Fuel, which will be fueled by ethanol, was another big success during the exhibition.
Collaboration with Toyota and Common Platform
The Toyota Urban SUV concept, which was previously hinted at, and the eVX will both be based on the adaptable 27PL skateboard platform. This common base highlights a tight collaboration and suggests that more reasonably priced
electric vehicles
may eventually be released from this platform. These 4.3-meter SUVs have a roomy interior, which is a benefit of their specially designed electric vehicle construction.
The Maruti eVX has been spotted undergoing testing on Indian roads on several occasions, but the manufacturer has kept the specifics of its appearance and inside quiet.
In addition to this, the business has advanced ethanol fuel technology. Maruti is demonstrating its dedication to a variety of propulsion systems with the Waggon R Flex Fuel prototype. This version, which is still in prototype form, showcases Maruti's investigation into alternate fuel alternatives with a 1.2-litre petrol engine modified to run on E20-E85 ethanol mixes.
