One
Electric Motorcycles
said today that it has begun producing its signature electric motorbike, the "KRIDN," domestically in Africa. The business has formed a joint venture with a long-standing local manufacturer of vehicles. One Electric has given all the necessary parts, equipment, and expertise for assembling its motorcycles."Our engineers are supervising the training and production of our motorcycles in Kenya to ensure our high-quality standards," says Gaurav Uppal, CEO of One Electric. We are lucky to have teamed up with a highly skilled and technically capable business, and we're on target to finish the first production batch in less than two weeks.
The CTO, Abhijeet Shah, continues, "Localising production boosts local manufacturing, jobs, and the economy in addition to increasing India's exports. This results in a scenario where everyone in the ecosystem benefits.
Additionally, "it develops a powerful brand that defines mutual achievement as its aim, rather than a straightforward sales approach. The best model for operations in Africa maybe this one, where all parties involved profit.
The localization, however, will be carried out gradually in accordance with the feasibility of the present industrial levels. Gaurav Uppal continues, "We will strive to enhance this portfolio as the ecosystem evolves. Child parts like handlebars, stands, carriers, etc. are first localised.
As demand soars, One Electric also intends to open a battery production facility in Africa by the end of the current year. The corporation is already in discussions to grow into other countries including South America and Southeast Asia after consolidating in Africa.
