Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV Launched in India: Range, Top Speed, Price, Booking & More…

The

Hyundai IONIQ 5

EV has been out for a while. The South Korean business has begun accepting bookings for such Ioniq 5 for a small cost of Rs 1 lakh now that it has officially been released in India. This electric hatchback will be Hyundai's second electric car in India, following the Kona electric. This is the first car constructed on the E-GMP Platform, which supports the Kia EV6. Hyundai unveiled the revolutionary IONIQ 5 in our region with its specialist BEV Platform E-GMP, which will create its upcoming electric vehicles.

Range

The same architectural foundations are both the

Kia EV6

and the Ioniq 5. The Hyundai EV thus utilizes relatively similar batteries and systems. It is believed that the Ioniq 5 EV will be offered in Basic Range and Extended Range variants, with both back wheel power & all drive options. According to reports, the basic model will feature a 58kWh battery, and the extended-range variant will include a 72.6kWh battery capacity. It promises to have a 480km range overall. The range is on the lower side compared to its competitor, The Kia EV6, which gets you around 708km. Thanks to these incredible specs, the car's low profile, and the electric motor's instantaneous torque, the EV can achieve 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds for the conventional AWD model and 5.2 seconds for the extended-range AWD variant.

Power & Acceleration

The Ioniq 5 utilizes an entirely electric powertrain with various available power levels. The primary battery and the vehicle's one electrical power source, situated in the back, combine to produce 168 horsepower.

Hyundai

estimates the Ioniq 5 will hit 100 kmph in 7.4 seconds thanks to the extended-range battery, the 225 hp, and the 258Nm of torque it generates. The all-wheel-drive variant is significantly more powerful and quicker, with 320 horsepower and a vast 446 pound-feet of torque. On the test range, it required 4.5 seconds to achieve 100 kmph. The Volvo XC40 recharge can reach 100kmph in just 4.2 seconds with 402bhp of motor power, which gives fair competition to the IONIQ 5. The Ioniq 5 handled well on various surfaces, and its broad EV wheels and low center of mass gave the impression that it was agile when swerving from left to right.

Battery & Charging

Hyundai provides the Ioniq 5 in two battery pack variants: AWD and transversely mounted drive, 58kWh and 72.6kWh. The lesser battery produces 170 horsepower with rear-wheel driving and all-wheel drive; the larger battery produces 217 horsepower and 305 horsepower with both drivetrains. The bigger battery extends the range to a projected 481km, whereas the lower battery pack is sufficient for 383km in the authorized testing stage. The battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% using the Ioniq 5's super duper 800V charging capacity within 18 minutes. It is unknown which motor configuration will travel to India.

Interior & Features

The cabin of the IONIQ 5 is a high-tech space with a digital display and green architectural features. The EV includes a top display that projects driving directions onto the glass using virtual reality. The small hatch also has the advantage of being electric because it has a flat bottom for passenger comfort and cargo capacity. Travelers may relax on the front seats because they can relax and have cushions while the

IONIQ 5

is charging. This car has plenty of room for passengers' legs at the front and the rear. There is a 12-inch TFT and 12-inch electronic gauge panel within the same display panel. The first is the focal point of all amusement. Advanced voice recognition technology and smartphone applications are integrated. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included in this.

Design

Its design is marked by several sharp edges and grooves that provide uniqueness to its boxed look. When looking either from the side, someone can't help but note the steeply slanted windscreens and the striking alloy wheels. The vehicle's vintage style, which includes square lights and taillights made of subpixel rendering, gives it a unique look. The

Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV

was named World Car of the Year 2022, thanks to its breathtaking exterior styling. The inside is undoubtedly significant, thanks to the EV architecture Hyundai uses to build the car. Better cabin space is one of the advantages of creating an entirely electric platform from the roots up.

The IONIQ comes in five distinct colors: Atlas White, Cyber Gray, Digital Teal, Lucid Blue, Phantom Black, and Shooting Star.

Price & Booking

The business still needs to disclose the car's pricing, although it is currently available for reservation for Rs 1,00,000. Hyundai is anticipated to make its full specifications and pricing known at the upcoming Greater Noida Auto Show.

This highly appreciated electric car is anticipated to cost around Rs 40 lakh and Rs 50 lakh in India. This cost is extremely reasonable and will be warmly appreciated by the average client because of the top benefits of the hatchback.
