EVINDIA Analysis: Key Trends Shaping the Market

1. TVS is the New Ola:

TVS Motors' rise is consistent and backed by strong service infrastructure and a balanced portfolio. With a 24% market share, it's the new benchmark in EV 2W.

2. Ola’s Fall from the Top:

Market share dropped to 19%, down from 21% in April, highlighting struggles with aftersales, pricing strategy, and consumer retention.

3. New Players Gaining Ground:

River’s Indie model, BGauss’ city-focused scooters, and increased regional penetration signal growing acceptance of niche, performance-first EVs.

Market Outlook for H2 2025

As the EV 2W market surpasses 1 million units H1 FY25, the competition will intensify. Ola’s first-mover edge is waning, while TVS and Bajaj’s legacy strength is converting into market power. Meanwhile, smaller but agile OEMs like River Mobility are making notable inroads.

Expect more aggressive launches, network expansion, and perhaps price corrections as consumers demand value, performance, and service.
