Mahindra Teases Production-Spec BE Rall-E: A Rally-Inspired Electric SUV Set for November 26 Debut

Mahindra has released a teaser for the production-spec BE Rall-E, a special edition variant of the BE 6 electric SUV. This step highlights Mahindra's focus on performance-oriented EVs, integrating its motorsport background—particularly from Formula E—with practical features. The teaser, released on November 20, 2025, has generated interest among enthusiasts and positions the BE Rall-E as a contender in the off-road EV segment. Drawing on Mahindra's "Born Electric" platform, the BE Rall-E (stylised as "Rall-E" or "Rall.e" in some references) is based on an earlier concept and incorporates rally-inspired elements that reference "rally" and "electric." It is presented as a "winning formula," aiming to convey competitive appeal while marking the first anniversary of the BE lineup. The teaser video includes red lighting, SUV outlines, and audio cues reminiscent of Formula E, along with text overlays such as "You need a dream," "A touch of defiance," and "Drive the winning formula."

Launch Details

The BE Rall-E is confirmed to debut on November 26, 2025, at Mahindra's "Scream Electric" event in Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore), India. This two-day event will also unveil the Mahindra XEV 9S, a seven-seater electric SUV, though some sources say the reveal is on November 27, 2025. Availability is expected in India starting 2026, potentially as a limited-edition model similar to the BE 6 Batman Edition, which sold out 999 units in just 135 seconds. Pricing remains unconfirmed; for reference, the standard BE 6 starts at ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Rall-E could carry a premium due to its specialised features.

Design and Features

The BE Rall-E retains the coupe-SUV silhouette of the BE 6 but amps up the aggression with rally-inspired elements, making it Mahindra's first dedicated off-road electric SUV. Confirmed design highlights from the teaser include slim LED daytime running lights (DRLs), low-set projector LED headlamps, a large bonnet vent, front skid plate, racing stripes, a prominent roof-mounted spoiler, an additional boot lid spoiler, and slim LED taillights. It features round lights instead of the standard BE 6's C-shaped DRLs, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a redesigned front bumper for enhanced aerodynamics and off-road appeal. The teaser shows it in a bold red shade with sporty graphics, dropping elements like the concept's roof rack for a cleaner production look.

Interior details are sparse in the teaser, but it's expected to mirror the BE 6's tech-laden cabin, including powered and ventilated front seats, an augmented-reality head-up display, an in-car camera for driver monitoring and video calls, a 360-degree camera, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), connected car tech, and fast charging. Speculations suggest racing-themed accents and potential software enhancements, but these remain unconfirmed until the launch. One unverified community observation points to a different battery pack or added protection for rugged use, but we are not sure about this and await official confirmation.

Powertrain and Performance

Full specifications are yet to be revealed, but the BE Rall-E is built on the INGLO platform, prioritising efficiency and fast charging. While the standard BE 6 is rear-wheel-drive (RWD), speculations abound that the Rall-E will introduce all-wheel-drive (AWD) via a dual-motor setup to bolster its rally credentials—this is not officially confirmed. We are not sure if it will materialise. It may include expanded drive modes for off-road scenarios, but again, this is speculative.

Here's a fact-checked comparison based on confirmed BE 6 specs and reported expectations for the Rall-E:

Community and Market Buzz

EV enthusiasts on social media and the web are abuzz, with reactions highlighting the "off-road electric beast" vibe and the potential for competition with models like the Thar in the EV space. Comments range from excitement over the teaser ("dil garden garden ho gaya!") to calls for full specs and pricing. This launch comes amid Mahindra's strong EV momentum, with over 30,000 eSUVs sold in seven months and the BE 6 achieving rapid sales milestones. However, some owners of existing BE models have raised concerns about software bugs and delayed features, urging Mahindra to address these before new rollouts.

In the broader Indian EV market, where sales are surging, the BE Rall-E could carve a niche for performance EVs. We'll know more post-launch, but if the speculations hold, this might be Mahindra's boldest electric statement yet. Stay tuned for updates from the Scream Electric event.
