Hopcharge seek forward to increase its mobile EV charging fleet by three folds

Start-up for mobile

EV

charging in Gurugram by the conclusion of the fiscal year 2024–2025, Hopcharge wants to treble the number of its more than twenty charging trucks operating in Delhi and the NCR. In order to collect less than USD 10 million (more than Rs 83 crore), the firm claims it intends to approach international climate financing bodies. This money would assist fleet expansion and extend its network to Bengaluru.

According to co-founder and CEO Arjun Singh, Hopcharge is also negotiating agreements to sign two more electric passenger vehicle manufacturers as clients, Autocar Professional reported

Hopcharge's mobile EV charging is more expensive than a public charging station by almost two to one, but Singh asserts that EV owners in the Delhi-NCR region are in high demand since it is so convenient and simple to charge EVs at home. Any service provider should aim for service excellence, he asserts, adding, "In the end, it is what you deliver. We provide more than simply kilowatt-hour pricing.

The business's founders, who have over 15 years of expertise in the energy sector, are supported by clients including Tata Motors, Mercedes-Benz, and insurance giant Acko. Singh worked for a sizable amount of time with Schlumberger, one of the biggest global technology companies advancing energy innovation.

The business now provides 25–30kW chargers for all vehicle types, but it claims it is open to providing more in the future. Similar to a power bank, "we can fit more energy into multiple forms (30, 50, and 60 kW), and these sizes can be launched dependent on market need. When demand increases, we can scale up to 90kW," Singh said.

For roughly Rs 50,000 a year, Hopcharge has also created a subscription option that gives customers access to limitless charging cycles for their vehicles. According to Singh, "We also offer emergency backup if a customer drops below 20% or becomes stranded, and we typically do not charge the customer for an SOS because it ensures them that we are there to help."
