Youdha’s ₹2.79 Lakh EPOD EV Shakes Up 3-Wheeler Market | ₹1,000 Cr Target Set by 2030!
India’s booming electric three-wheeler market just welcomed a new player—Youdha, the EV brand aligned with Lohia Auto, has launched the EPOD, an L5 electric passenger auto, priced aggressively at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
With this launch, Youdha aims to redefine urban and semi-urban mobility while also setting sights on a ₹1,000 crore revenue milestone by 2030.
EPOD: Built for India's Roads
Powered by a 6 kW motor producing 50 Nm torque and backed by an 11.8 kWh LFP lithium-ion battery, the Youdha EPOD delivers a certified range of 227 km on a single charge. The vehicle supports two driving modes – City and Boost, and a 300 mm water-wading depth, making it ideal for varied terrains and seasonal conditions across India.
Local Manufacturing with High Capacity
The EPOD is manufactured in Uttarakhand at Youdha’s Kashipur plant, which has a production capacity of 1,00,000 units per year. The company is initially rolling out the product in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Assam, with a phased expansion planned pan-India.
Why EPOD is a Game-Changer in the L5 Segment
The L5 electric three-wheeler segment is witnessing a surge, thanks to:
- Rising fuel costs
- Urban last-mile delivery demand
- Government subsidies and state EV policies
- Affordable financing and EMI schemes
At a starting price of ₹2.79 lakh, the EPOD offers high value, making it a strong contender in the urban and semi-urban mobility market, especially for auto drivers and fleet operators.
Vision 2030: ₹1,000 Crore Revenue Plan
Youdha isn’t just eyeing volume sales—it’s chasing scale. The company’s 2030 roadmap includes:
- Revenue goal of ₹1,000 crore
- New cargo variants of EPOD
- Nationwide expansion of manufacturing and service footprint
- Financing partnerships for auto drivers
Brand Philosophy: Empowering Drivers
Youdha is building its identity around empowering “mobility entrepreneurs.” Its tagline—focused on reliable, cost-efficient, clean transport—resonates with daily wage earners, fleet owners, and urban operators.
“We’re not just launching a product—we’re creating a reliable income solution for India’s driver community,”
says a company spokesperson.
