Xiaomi, a Chinese tech giant now in the automobile sector, sold more than 135,000 units of its flagship model, SU7, by the end of last year, overachieving its original target of selling 60,000 units.
Following the achievement, the company has decided to go global and double its EV sales in 2025.
Marking a sale of 10,000 units of EV SU7 in just 32 days, Xiaomi received an overwhelming reaction from China’s audience.
It is reported that Xiaomi's brand new factory in Beijing, China, is producing the company’s latest SU7 EV. According to reports, the factory can produce 300,000 units annually.
The 73.6 kWh battery system that powers the four-door sedan can go up to 668 km CLTC on a single charge. According to the company’s claims, the car can attain a high speed of 210 km/h and go from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5.3 seconds.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi just unveiled its another EV, YU7. This SUV is expected to go on sale in China, sometime in 2025. According to certain rumours, the corporation may double its production capacity this year if YU7 receives the same response as SU7.
