TI Clean Mobility of Murugappa Group is all set to fast-track the introduction of new electric vehicles to make a turnover of ₹1 billion within 4-5 years, citing the company’s Managing Director, Jalaj Gupta, PTI reported on Friday.

The company, on Friday, announced its entry into the three-wheeler cargo segment. Up till now, the company under the brand name of 'Montra Electric' sells heavy and small commercial vehicles, tractors and now passenger three-wheelers.

Gupta said,  "Our larger objective is to be a ₹ 1 billion turnover (firm) all put together... We are looking at a time frame of four to five years, FY29 or FY30, to achieve this," PTI reported.

According to him, the company's total revenue in FY25 was Rs 650 crore.

He noted that the company has raised Rs 3,000 crore and that investments are still being made in a number of areas, including the creation of new products.

Citing PTI, the report said, "The company is looking at adding an electric tractor in the 40-50 horsepower (HP) segment to the existing 27 HP in the next 6 to 12 months."

In addition, the business intends to introduce tippers and other variations in the heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) market.

In addition to electric buses on its current 3.5-ton platform, Gupta stated that TI Clean Mobility Pvt Ltd (TICMPL) is considering electric ambulances in the small vehicle segment (SCV) in order to take advantage of government subsidies.

According to Gupta, the company plans to explore the e-rickshaw market and may provide "either a lower or higher battery" option in addition to the 10.6 kilowatt battery that currently powers the passenger autorickshaw.

Regarding its goal of one billion dollars, he stated, "About 50 per cent should be coming from the HCV, 20 per cent from SCV, 20 per cent from three-wheeler and 10 per cent from tractor business," PTI reported.

The company's new electric three-wheeler SUPER CARGO, which starts at Rs 4.37 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi, post-subsidy), marks its entry into the highly competitive last-mile delivery industry.

According to the manufacturer, the new three-wheeler’s real-world range is 170 km, while under standard testing conditions, it can reach over 200 kilometres.

Powered with a 13.8 kWh lithium-ion battery, the vehicle will also have a 100% charge option that takes 15 minutes.

The company currently operates in 101 different markets for three-wheelers and intends to expand to 150 areas by FY26. So far, more than 10,000 copies have been sold.
