Tata’s upcoming Harrier EV spotted testing in Ladakh region
Testing of the upcoming Harrier EV has been seen once more, this time in the mountainous and untamed Ladakh region. The Tata Curvv and Curvv EV are expected to be released in the next months, followed by the introduction of the completely electric Harrier by the end of the year.
Tata Motors debuted a pre-production concept for the Harrier EV at the Auto Expo last year. Earlier this year, at the first Bharat Mobility Expo, the company showed a more developed, production-ready prototype. Over the course of the previous year, many spy shots of the all-electric SUV have been captured in testing.
The Harrier EV's external design is influenced by its ICE brother, which had a significant overhaul in September of last year while being completely camouflaged. The Acti.ev Gen 2 EV architecture from Tata is expected to carry over into the EV Harrier's imposing road presence and robust posture. The electric vehicle will be distinguished from its fossil-fueled counterpart with a closed-off grille and Harrier.ev badging.
The Harrier EV's cabin interior is anticipated to be similar to those of the diesel-powered Harrier. The vehicle’s notable features include Tata's new two-spoke steering wheel, a completely digital instrument dashboard, and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment device.
Additionally, new innovative features like wireless charging for phones, wireless connectivity for Android and Apple CarPlay, linked automobile technology through the Arcade.ev suite, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) are also reported to be included in the vehicle.
