Tata teases with Curvv EV interior ahead of launch

Ahead of its formal launch on August 7, Tata Motors has teased its audience with a first look inside the Curvv, their next electric SUV.  The interior design of the Curvv EV has a unique, contemporary look, despite being inspired by the Nexon EV.

Although the previous glimpses of the Curvv's interior suggested that it would resemble the Nexon EV, however, the most recent pictures provide a wider perspective. The floating touchscreen infotainment system takes centre stage and adds to the cabin's clean appearance.

The Curvv EV has continued the Nxxon’s inheritance of the design of the lower console, including a wireless charger and a unique gear lever reminiscent of a Land Rover.

With its commanding presence, the panoramic sunroof elevates the whole interior. A 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster made up of two separate digital displays, grab attention. A silver stripe running across the dashboard highlights the Curvv's black-and-white colour scheme, which sets it apart from the Nexon EV. The ambient lighting and a four-spoke steering wheel contribute to the overall refined look seems inspired by the Harrier and Safari.

A clear view of Curvv's long feature list is shown in the teaser. The inside has a two-tone design in addition to recognisable features that are comparable to those of the Nexon EV, such as the driving mode selector, gear shifter, AC vents, centre console, and touch-based temperature controls. The push-button start/stop, auto-dimming rearview mirror, ventilated front seats, and driving modes (Eco, City, Sports) are additional amenities.

The Curvv prioritises safety, and it comes equipped with six airbags as standard, as well as electronic stability control, ABS, EBD, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and a remarkable variety of Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), such as lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and automated emergency braking.

Tata is anticipated to provide a variety of battery alternatives, with a possible range of about 500 km, even if particular details regarding the battery pack and electric motor have not yet been disclosed. Additionally, V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2V (vehicle-to-vehicle) charging capabilities are probably in the pipeline for the Curvv EV.

The Tata Curvv EV is expected to be on sale for Rs 19.5 lakh (ex-showroom), where it will go up against the Citroen eC3 and small SUVs like the Hyundai Creta EV and MG ZS EV.
