Tata starts delivery of Harrier.ev: All you need to know about the vehicle

Launched earlier in June as the company’s first fleet since the discontinuation of Safari Storme, Tata Motors has started the deliveries of its Harrier.ev, India’s first indigenous electric SUV with all-wheel drive.

The Tata Harrier.ev comes with first-in-segment features, starting from Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 30.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle comes in two battery variants: 65 kWh and 75 kWh. The dual-motor configuration of the vehicle can generate 155.8 hp in its front motor, while the rear one can produce 234.7hp.

The Harrier.ev is available in six driving modes for facilitating off-road capabilities, including Sand, Snow, Rock, Mud/Ruts, Normal, and Custom. These modes modify power distribution and suspension settings to suit different terrains.

The interior of the electric vehicle has a contemporary touch with improved dashboard features and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, even if the outward appearance is very similar to that of its ICE counterpart, with a few EV-specific adjustments. According to the manufacturer, it has the first 14.53-inch infotainment system driven by Samsung NEO QLED that is sourced from Harman.

The car also features the first-ever JBL Black 10-speaker audio system with Dolby Atmos, power and ventilated front seats, a memory-equipped driver seat, a voice-activated panoramic sunroof, window sunblinds, ambient lighting, and more.

To ensure the safety of its occupants, the brand has equipped the electric SUV with features such as seven airbags, a digital video recorder, TPMS, hill hold assist, hill descent control, rain sensing wipers, an electronic parking brake, all-wheel disc brakes with disc wiping, an AVAS (acoustic vehicle alert system), auto headlamps, and a comprehensive suite of Level 2 ADAS features.
