Tata Nexon EV is all set to launch on Sept.7

On Tuesday, September 7,

Tata Motors

will introduce the all-electric version of its well-liked Nexon SUV in India. The EV is expected to have a similar appearance to its previously unveiled ICE-powered predecessor but with EV-specific features.

Based on the success of the Nexon EV as the best-selling all-electric passenger

car

in India, the launch intends to improve the automaker's position in the Indian electric vehicle category.

Future EV's teaser displays distinctive design features.

In the teaser image provided by Tata Motors, a full-width lightbar is visible at the base of the bonnet and the grille is fully blanked out and body colour. Similar to the ICE model, the rear end has V-shaped LED light guides and a component that resembles a lightbar for the taillights. The engine from the current Nexon EV is anticipated to be used in the future model, which will provide choices for battery packs with 30.2kWh and 40.5kWh capacity and ranges of up to 312km and 453km, respectively.

Six airbags and ESC are standard on EVs.

The Nexon EV's interior is still a mystery, however, it is anticipated to be quite similar to the ICE model.

The EV will probably have a brand-new 10.25-inch dual-screen configuration. Additionally, a variety of safety features including six airbags, ESC, three-point seat belts for the back passengers, a blind spot monitor, and 360-degree cameras are predicted to come as standard.

Tata may also include extra features that are available only with the EV variant.

Nexon EV may dominate the Indian EV market.

The Nexon EV has established itself as the best-selling all-electric passenger car in India after passing the 50,000-unit sales milestone earlier this year, strengthening Tata's dominance in the market.

The Mahindra XUV400, which is similarly priced, is the e-SUV's closest direct challenger at the moment. Tata Motors' position in the Indian EV industry is anticipated to improve with the introduction of the brand-new Nexon SUV, which is all electric.
