XUV.e8, the first car to be released as part of Mahindra's electric revolution, has been circulating online since it was recently sighted during open testing. According to the spy photos, the new XUV.e8 has undergone many revisions from the concept vehicle Mahindra unveiled last year.Even though the Mahindra XUV.e8 MotorBeam photographed was tightly disguised, certain obvious aspects show the substantial alterations Mahindra made for the commercial version. The Mahindra XUV.e8 production vehicle will have a more traditional look similar to the XUV700, as opposed to the concept car's distinctive front fascia.
The concept model's headlamps and radical closed grille design have been changed. Instead, the XUV.e8 test mule has a front fascia like the XUV700, with C-shaped all-LED headlights and vertical slats on the closed grille in the middle. Along with the small housings for the fog lights, the XUV.e8's front bumper is also shared with the XUV700.
The Mahindra XUV.e8 will include copper-coloured accents, similar to the XUV400. These accents are anticipated to be seen on the vertical slats of the front grille, fog lamp housings, wheel caps, and front and rear profiles. Mahindra's decision to employ copper-coloured accents instead of the common blue colour used by many all-
electric cars
to indicate their electric nature adds a distinctive touch. The inside of the Mahindra XUV.e8 has not been seen in the stolen photos, although it is anticipated to resemble the XUV700's interior. A brand-new born-electric INGLO platform created in partnership with Volkswagen will serve as the foundation for the new XUV.e8. The line of electric cars from Mahindra, which were first unveiled as concepts last year, will be built on this platform.
The Mahindra XUV.e8 will measure 4740mm in length, 1900mm in width, and 1760mm in height, which is a little bit longer than the XUV700, with which it shares a significant chunk of its design. It will feature a larger 60-80 kWh battery pack than the 39.5 kWh battery in the XUV400. This upgraded battery pack is anticipated to provide a real-world range of between 400 and 450 km. The Mahindra XUV.e8 will compete against the Tata Harrier electric, another electric vehicle scheduled for earlier delivery and on show at the 2023 Auto Expo.
