Oben Electric Sells Over 1,400 Rorr EV Bikes in H1 2025, Plans Expansion to 150 Showrooms by FY2026

Bengaluru-based EV startup Oben Electric has crossed a major milestone, recording 2,077 cumulative electric motorcycle sales as of July 9, 2025. The momentum has been especially strong in H1 2025, where the company delivered 1,443 units, largely driven by the popularity of its newer model—the Oben Rorr EZ.

Oben’s strategy to target 100cc to 150cc petrol motorcycle buyers with stylish, performance-driven, and cost-efficient electric motorcycles is gaining traction, especially among urban commuters and young first-time EV adopters.

Oben Rorr EZ Powers the Surge in Sales

Launched in November 2024, the Oben Rorr EZ is proving to be the brand’s star performer. With three battery options (2.6kWh, 3.4kWh, 4.4kWh) using high-performance LFP battery tech, the Rorr EZ promises:

  • Range: Up to 175 km on a single charge
  • Acceleration: 0–40 km/h in 3.3 seconds
  • Top speed: 95 km/h
  • Fast charging: 80% in just 45 minutes
  • Starting price: ₹99,999 (ex-showroom)

The bike also features three riding modes—Eco, City, and Havoc—giving urban riders full control over performance and efficiency.

Oben’s Network Expansion: From 37 to 150 Showrooms

With current presence across cities like Bengaluru, Kochi, Delhi, Gurugram, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Lucknow, Oben is now eyeing rapid expansion:

  • Target: 150 showrooms in 50+ cities by FY2026
  • Focus: Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities including Mumbai, Surat, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Ranchi, and Kolkata
  • Support: Integrated Oben Care service centers with pickup & drop and 24/7 helpline

This expansion is expected to unlock scale, drive down delivery times, and build after-sales trust—a crucial factor in EV adoption.

‘Rorr on Campus’: Youth-Centric Campaign for Gen Z

In February 2025, Oben launched the ‘Rorr on Campus’ initiative—targeting students in 10 major colleges across Delhi and Jaipur, offering hands-on EV experiences. With plans to scale this campaign to other metros, Oben aims to:

  • Engage 100,000+ college students
  • Increase awareness of EV performance, affordability, and tech
  • Tap into the growing base of young, female, and first-time EV riders

This educational EV campaign is a unique move that not only promotes the brand but also builds the next generation of EV enthusiasts.

  • Oben Electric: 37 currently, expanding to 150 by FY2026

 June 2025 Telangana Sales:

  • Revolt: 37 units

Oben outperformed Revolt in Telangana retail for June 2025 despite a much smaller dealership footprint, indicating strong regional traction.

Market Watch: The Race Against Revolt

While Revolt Motors leads in total electric motorcycle sales in H1 2025, Oben Electric is scaling faster on a per-dealership basis, especially in emerging EV states like Telangana.

  • Revolt's June Retail Sales: 37 (Telangana), 767 (Rest of India), Total : 804
  • Oben’s June Retail Sales: 45 (Telangana), 153 (Rest of India), Total : 198

These data points to Oben’s stronger conversion rate, especially where its sales and awareness campaigns are active.

Final Thoughts: Oben Electric’s Momentum Is Real

In just two years, Oben Electric has made remarkable strides in India’s EV motorcycle segment, traditionally overshadowed by electric scooters. With a growing dealership network, affordable pricing, youth-focused marketing, and robust product engineering, Oben is well-positioned to lead the urban electric motorcycle revolution.

Stay tuned to EVINDIA as we track Oben’s journey to the next milestone—1,000 bikes a month.
