Jeep to launch its all-electric Compass SUV in November 2024
Jeep has finally confirmed its intention to unveil the all-electric version of the Compass, the company’s famed midsize SUV, according the recent reports.
The new Jeep Compass EV will be offered alongside mild-hybrid and PHEV powertrains, as part of the brand's "Freedom of Choice" strategy, according to a report by Team BHP.
The automaker announced on Friday that prior to going officially on sale in the European market in 2025, the company intends to unveil the all-electric Compass SUV this year in November. As part of the brand's "Freedom of Choice" policy, the 2018 Jeep Compass EV will be available in addition to mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).
The STLA Medium Platform of Compass EV's parent business, Stellantis, will serve as the foundation for the future model. According to the WLTP cycle, this platform's base pack provides 310 miles (500 km) of driving range, while the performance pack can provide up to 435 miles (700 km) of range.
Moreover, those who are looking for a more rugged option can avail of the Compass EV "Trailhawk" trim.
Jeep will launch the Compass EV prior to the release of its bigger sibling Wagoneer S, in Europe. Based on the 'STLA Large' architecture, the Jeep Wagoneer S EV is anticipated to deliver 600 horsepower and a range of "over 300 miles" on a flat tyre.
The business is also developing a Wrangler-inspired Recon vehicle, which will have detachable doors and windows, in addition to the Compass EV and Wagoneer S EV. Additionally, the Renegade EV will be available for less than $25,000.
