India’s Electric 3-Wheeler Industry Creates History in July 2025
India’s electric 3-wheeler (e-3W) market has smashed all previous records with 69,144 units sold in July 2025, a 9% YoY growth compared to July 2024. The segment has now clocked 430,845 units in the first seven months of 2025, already covering 62% of last year’s record-breaking 691,302 units.
Leading the charge are Mahindra Last Mile Mobility (MLMM) and Bajaj Auto, who hit their best-ever monthly sales, while TVS Motor made a stunning climb into the Top 4 within just one year of entering the market.
Mahindra Leads the Pack – Record 9,767 Units in July 2025
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility continues to dominate the e-3W market with 9,767 units, up 40% YoY (July 2024: 6,978). This gives Mahindra a 14% market share, making its Treo and e-Alfa series the segment’s top-selling products. With strong demand for last-mile connectivity, Mahindra’s consistent growth positions it as the key player to watch in CY2025.
Bajaj Auto Doubles Sales – 7,625 Units & 106% YoY Growth
Bajaj Auto delivered a massive 106% YoY jump with 7,625 units, nearly doubling its market share to 11%. Bajaj’s GoGo e3W brand, featuring a 248 km range and 5-year/120,000 km battery warranty, is driving strong adoption in both cargo and passenger segments.
TVS King EV Max Makes Big Entry – 2,209 Units in July
TVS Motor’s King EV Max has quickly become a breakout success, selling 2,209 units and capturing 3% market share in just a few months. Starting the year with only 133 units, TVS has shown consistent month-on-month growth, cementing its spot in the Top 4 among nearly 600 players.
YC Electric, Saera, and Others Face Heat as Legacy OEMs Dominate
Legacy brands are rapidly reshaping the market as buyers prefer better-built products backed by strong service networks. YC Electric sold 3,635 units, Saera Auto 2,207 units, while Dilli Electric Auto clocked 1,920 units. Meanwhile, MSME players saw declining volumes as Mahindra, Bajaj, and TVS absorbed market share.

With the Jan–July 2025 cumulative sales already at 430,845 units, analysts predict a record-breaking festive season. Bajaj’s rapid growth and TVS’s aggressive expansion could challenge Mahindra’s dominance, making August–October a crucial battleground.
