Confidential picture leak: Ola’s upcoming EV exposed, CEO demands apology

Bhavish Aggarwal, the CEO of

Ola Electric

, chastised an anonymous auto writer and sought an explanation when private images of their electric scooters were released prior to the public debut.

Ola Electric will launch a reasonably priced electric scooter on August 15. It has previously been covered by a number of media publications, and only recently has the corporation made a hint about it. Even before its formal introduction the following week, Ola organised a sneak preview of their new product for the media. However, before to the company's formal announcement, an unnamed journalist is said to have released some private pictures of the impending

EV

during the event.

On Twitter, Aggarwal vented his annoyance and displeasure.

"Content from this event was intended to be under embargo and secret, and these pictures were part of an auto media event we had today. When auto journalists sneakily snap pictures at a private event, it damages their own credibility. It betrays the faith that the brand has in them,” he fervently tweeted.

The Ola co-founder emphasised that such behaviour is wrong and voiced his severe rejection of it. He reiterated the company's commitment to producing excellent products and fun experiences for its clients and emphasised the fact that such occurrences had no place in a developed ecosystem.

Aggarwal warned the business not to showcase its items to the media in the future before releasing them to customers, in addition to demanding an apology from the journalist.

He said that car journalists would no longer be permitted access to their products before to launch unless the offending party was found and an improbable apology was made. Instead, they won't see the items until after clients have had launch events when they were first introduced to them.

Reports claim that Ola's next S1X model would cost less than Rs 1 lakh and have a 100-kilometre range on a single charge. The electric scooters that Ola now provides are the

S1 Pro

, S1, and S1 Air.
