Bijliride Enters Delhi: New B2C Electric Two-Wheeler Rentals to Transform Urban Commute

Bijliride, a rising star in the Indian mobility tech space, has officially announced its entry into the Delhi market with the launch of its B2C electric two wheeler rental services. This move marks a major expansion for the startup, aiming to provide affordable, eco friendly, and ownership free transport solutions to the capital’s commuters.

Targeting High-Demand Hubs in Delhi

The initial phase of the rollout focuses on high traffic zones across South, Central, West, and East Delhi. These areas were selected due to their dense population and the high demand for "last-mile" connectivity. The first operational hub is now live in Lado Sarai, South Delhi, with several more pickup and drop off points scheduled to open in the coming months.

Delhi’s robust EV policy and the urgent need to curb rising air pollution levels make it a strategic first B2C market for Bijliride. The service is specifically designed for:

  • Students and Young Professionals seeking flexible transit.

  • Gig Workers looking for low cost operational vehicles.

  • Daily Commuters wanting to avoid the rising costs of petrol and vehicle maintenance.

Affordable EV Rentals: Pricing and Fleet Details

Bijliride is deploying a dedicated fleet of 150 200 newly procured electric scooters for the Delhi launch. Leveraging operational data from their successful Hyderabad branch, the company has optimized these vehicles for range reliability and rider comfort.

To ensure the service remains competitive against traditional vehicle ownership, Bijliride has introduced aggressive pricing:

  • Daily Rentals: Starting at approximately ₹220 per day (battery swapping model).

  • Flexible Plans: Options for weekly and monthly rentals aimed at long term savings.

  • Support Services: Includes 24/7 roadside assistance, breakdown support, and battery swapping infrastructure.

Seamless, App-Led Experience

In line with its tech first approach, the entire rental journey is managed via the Bijliride mobile app (available on the Google Play Store). From document verification and booking to digital payments, the process is designed to be entirely contactless and user friendly.

“Delhi represents both a challenge and an opportunity for electric mobility,” said Shivam Sisodiya, CEO & Co-Founder of Bijliride. “Our goal is to make electric commuting reliable and economical enough to become the default choice for short distance urban travel.”

By removing the financial barrier of a down payment and the operational hassle of insurance and servicing, Bijliride is positioned to accelerate EV adoption in India’s most vehicle dense city.
